The Melbourne Cricket Club Library was founded in 1873 and forms a cornerstone of the club’s commitment to heritage.
The Library is a facility for reference and research. It is available for MCC Members to browse and use the facilities during opening hours. On non-match days it is also open to the general public by appointment.
Collection
Covering the sports played by the MCC and at the MCG, the collection’s strengths are cricket, Australian football and the Olympic Games, with substantial holdings in a number of other sports. As a reference library it does not lend collection items.
Hours
Non-match days
Monday to Friday: 10am to 4pm.
Saturday and Sunday: by special appointment.
Match days
Opening of the members’ gates until end of the tea/dinner break (cricket) or half-time break (football).
Staff
The club librarians are backed by support staff and specialist volunteers, who assist with research projects and information provision.
Hi David
Thanks for joining up again. You may be interested to see what the students have been developing. I would like to speak with you about permissions for your images.
